The SAP Warehouse Management module of SAP R/3 primarily aims to define and manage complex warehouse structures in a company, providing automated, flexible and efficient support. This enables businesses to fulfil many different things, including:

  • Manage warehouse structures.
  • Define and manage storage areas in the warehouse.
  • Monitor stock movements.
  • Process differences in stock.
  • Ensure the stock posted in the Inventory Management system is the same as the stock available.
  • Integrate with materials management, quality management, product planning and sales and distribution.
  • Interface to external non-SAP warehousing systems.

This module is particularly useful for Business Analysts.
