RoboHelp is an application for producing online documentation, initially only created for Windows Help files. However, it can now produce many different types of online output, and not necessarily only what you’d consider being ‘help’ files. It is a Help Authoring Tool (HAT), which is a software program used by technical writers to create online help systems.
RoboHelp is an easy-to-use solution for technical communicators to author, personalise, optimise and collaborate content for help systems, policies and procedures, and professional knowledge bases for multichannel, multidevice publishing.
Content can be delivered to devices such as iPads and other tablets, smartphones and desktops using output formats. The multi-author capabilities mean review features can be utilised. Content can also be easily personalised and optimised for relevance and search, whilst context-sensitive can be easily developed to help achieve usability enhancements.
