Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is a set of guidelines and
terminology that should be followed for those in Project Management.
Containing the entire collection of processes, including the best practices,
terminologies and guidelines it details the accepted standards that should be adhered to. The set of guidelines is followed globally for companies to achieve their goals.
The PMBOK describes each job and the best way to tackle the project, with each part being accomplished by completing each part of the process.
Recognising 47 processes that fall into five process groups, there are also
various phases throughout PMBOK which include inputs, tools and techniques and outputs.
Jobs that use PMBOK include:
