Microsoft Windows operating system is the most widely used operating system in the world. Products as Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer are considered leaders within their sectors.
The company was founded in 1975 by former CEO Bill Gates. Since its initial release in 1885, Microsoft Windows has grown to be the most renowned operating system in the world. The first Windows version on Microsoft Word was realised in 1989, and since then it has been a huge commercial success.
It still proves to be the most common operating system and software tool to this day, and is used widely throughout the IT industry. Many organisations choose to use a type of Microsoft throughout their business, but there are some roles which are solely based around this software and operating system.
