Job Description
My Dublin City client is seeking a Windows System Admin to work permanently as part of the IT Infrastructure Team providing support and management of IT infrastructure with a key focus on security.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administration of:
- Microsoft Active Directory on Windows Server 2008 and 2012 network;
- Microsoft Office 365 hosted Email;
- Antivirus, deployment and updates
- AD Administrative groups and user access rights;
- Perform system backups and restores;
- Provide backup support to other colleagues in the Infrastructure and Helpdesk teams;
- Supervise all security investigations into problematic activity and provide on-going communication with management, including the DPO, where necessary;
- Create and maintain network security documentation e.g. policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures;
- Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the emergence of new threats;
- Proactively scope and recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security;
- Priorities the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits;
- Assist in the deployment, integration and configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to the existing security infrastructure in accordance with standard best operating procedures and security strategy;
- Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., MDM) or not (i.e. servers, network devices, etc.)
- Review logs and reports of all infrastructure; identifying and investigating security breaches detected by those systems interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution;

Essential and Desirable Skills:

- The successful candidate must have at least 2 years related work experience;
- An IT degree in computer science or a related field is essential;
- Security qualification would be an advantage;
- Ability to work well under pressure, flexibly and independently on own initiative;
- The role may require international and domestic travel, and flexible working hours;
- Ongoing flexibility and interest in international career progression and development is required;
