Windows IT Support Engineer

A brand-new role just opened with a great client based in Dublin South. They are looking for an Windows IT Support Engineer. The role is to work for a Software Company and the role will involve core Windows IT Support but also someone who has an interest in Devops/ and Cloud Support.

The successful candidate will have 3-4+ years of experience providing Windows IT Support.The role reports to the IT manager, the IT Support Engineer will be involved in managing the demanding IT needs of a multinational technology company, including caring for the network and Internet infrastructure, providing build management support for the client’s development team and technical support for their worldwide offices.

This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to broaden their technical skills and make an active contribution in a multinational company.

 

To be considered candidates must have:

  • Achieved or be working towards a 3rd level ICT qualification/accreditation and/or have attained one of the following certifications:
  • VCP VMware o 74-409 Hyper-V
  • MCSA Windows Server
  • Windows Server 2012 70-412
  • Windows Server 2016 70-740
  • 2+ years’ experience specialising in the configuration, maintenance and administration of Windows Servers in a corporate environment, Active Directory Domain Services and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Scripting
  • Experience in the administration of virtualised environments using VMWare and/or Hyper-V VDI
  • Good understanding of networking in a server and desktop environment, including switches (Fibre and copper), VLAN’s, TCPIP, Wireless networking, Remote Access
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work intuitively
  • Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate work
  • Project ownership and ability to work within deadlines / timelines
  • Ability to provide support to technical and non-technical staff
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
