VP Of Engineering

Description & Responsibilities

• To accelerate product engineering and grow the engineering team to execute products for their clients
• Work with Senior Management to develop the company’s vision and strategies
• Creating new customer experiences while building out a platform of microservices with various technologies
• Employ modern experimentation practices, continuous integration and deployment and DevOps culture
• Identifying problems and solving them, using measurement and experimentation to improve delivery practices
• Lead all aspects of people management including recruitment and retention of talent, managing a team of engineers, and coaching/mentoring
• Develop the technical vision and strategy – maintain a technical roadmap that will continue to innovate from a technical standpoint
• Oversee hardware and software development
• Serve on the leadership team and work directly with the CTO on strategic and tactical planning
• Own the Software Development Life Cycle and Product Development process
• Manage cross-country deliveries and multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain ownership of Engineering Department budgets and relevant KPIs
• Lead and mentor the Product Development teams and lead architectural design and decisions

Skills

• Track record of scaling product delivery and develop an engineering culture capable of speed, agility, and deep technology development.
• Experience in relational database design and management (Microsoft .Net Core, microservices and enterprise applications are key to this role)
• Consumer experience and strong product intuition and passion, enjoy engaging on product plans
• Able to educate on lean principles and flow for getting work done
• Energetic, collaborative, an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, growth environment that embraces agile and experimentation-driven development
• Have a strong network, able to attract and excite great talent
• Interest in global data management, systems integration and machine learning a plus
