Job Description

My financial services client requires a Test Manager to join their team on a contract basis to assist with a large application upgrade. This is an exciting opportunity which offers a great D/R and WFH

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the quality assurance testing of the SailPoint application upgrade, ensuring that all testing is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to define test requirements, test plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure that all aspects of the upgraded application have been thoroughly tested
  • Perform test execution, defect tracking, and defect management using JIRA or other similar tools
  • Provide status reports to senior stakeholders on test progress, including any issues or risks identified during the testing phase
  • Coordinate with other project managers to ensure that testing is integrated into the overall project plan
  • Ensure that testing adheres to the highest standards of quality, and that all test artifacts are properly documented and stored
  • Ensure that testing is completed within budget, on schedule, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide other members of the testing team to ensure that they have the necessary skills to complete their tasks effectively

Experience Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, including experience in managing the testing of application upgrades
  • Experience in Identity Access Management and Information Security
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including the ability to mentor and coach team members to improve their skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Financial services/ banking experience
  • Sailpoint upgrade experience

Educational Requirements

  • 3rd Level Degree from a recognised educational institute.
