Test Automation Manager

Responsibilities:

• Work with the development teams
• Work on high quality, maintainable and performance automated test cases, test frameworks, and test scripts to test functional requirements as well as the robustness and performance of software systems
• Write detailed acceptance criteria for automation testing
• Track and manage the resolution of issues generated during testing
• Develop test strategies and detailed test plans for engagements
• Review functional design specifications and/or User Stories
• Provide timely status reports and project updates to team and clients
• Aid in defining processes to be implemented to resolve and avoid future performance problems
• Mentor and upskill Junior QA Engineers
• Facilitate the development, implementation and adherence to good industry practices /testing standards
• Understand and anticipate client requirements, and develop client relationships

Requirements:

• At least 8 years’ experience in developing sustainable automated test suites for web and mobile applications with high quality, maintainable, and performant test code
• Strong understanding of the Continuous Integration pipeline model and how automation sits within that
• Strong understanding of back-end/API connectivity
• Experience working with some of the following, Selenium, Jenkins, TFS, and Git
• Knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Knowledge and experience of application development
• Knowledge Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, BizTalk, HTML, CSS
• A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative, to tight deadlines and evolving priorities
• Meticulous in attention to detail and good judgment with a keen eye for testability, robustness, and performance
• Demonstrated application of testing good industry practices
• Strong communication & personal skills
• The ability to work to agreed deadlines, and experience of managing and motivating people to complete tasks
