Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking for a Test Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead stand-ups, meetings & workshops with stakeholders from multiple functional areas to complete testing and elicit change requests.
  • Be a key participant in the defect management process with business testers and software vendor.
  • Lead daily defect triage sessions with software vendor.
  • Document change requests, manage sign-off with the business and brief the software vendor on the required changes.
  • Create test scripts to support testing as required.
  • Perform data analysis/mapping of transactional and reference data to define the XML and XSD files that will be generated within the workflow for the purposes of Robotic Process Automation.
  • Develop and manage plans for project milestones/activities assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues to the Project Manager as required.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore 3rd Party resources to deliver the solution.
  • Manage conflicts in requirements and prepare impact assessments to enable informed for decision making.
  • Complete solution specification documents in line with business requirements.
  • Support the creation of business readiness plans.
  • Support deployment and stabilization phases.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive set of project documentation.

Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years + experience with both functional and non-functional test experience
  • A formal qualification in an IT discipline or a third level qualification in a discipline with a high IT emphasis
  • An understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience of working with complex systems comprising of multiple data sources and applications within an Microsoft/SQL Server/Oracle environment
  • Webservice testing experience
  • SoapUI or alternative webservice tool experience – an understanding of building xml requests from wsdls
  • Experience of discussing requirements with business users
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Proven ability to take direction and meet deadlines
  • Have demonstrated flexibility and motivational skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstration of successful troubleshooting, problem solving and work planning for projects and programmes of work


  • Experience of working in a regulated industry particularly the energy industry would be a considerable advantage;
  • Test certifications (ISTQB or equivalent)
  • Sharepoint Scheduler experience
  • Experience of automated test tools
