Job Description

My Dublin based client is looking for an experienced Telephony Architect to join their team on a permanent basis ASAP.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and support integration for all the offices globally (SIP, WebRTC, API, etc)
  • Design the necessary voice solutions for a Cloud site
  • Implement the strategic plans into the support systems
  • Direct technical interaction internally and externally to deliver on the overall solution
  • Test the Unified Communication technology-driven designs
  • Operational support – testing and troubleshooting
  • Maintaining the legacy systems
  • Roll out a new voice system

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years experience of VoIP (ideally SIP)
  • Extensive experience designing and developing of Voice solutions within a Cloud environment and maintaining the platform using Avaya – ideally 4/5+ years experience
  • Experience in Unified Communications
  • Excellent communications skills – oral and written
  • Must be a problem solver

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Technical design skills related to SIP, TDM, PBX, PSTN, including troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of MPLS, IP and Ethernet Technologies
  • Knowledge of financial markets & financial legacy voice protocols (bonus, not desirable)

Educational Requirements

  • Engineering/Computer Science Degree – or similar
  • Certifications a bonus, especially Voice certifications (i.e. CCIE or CCNA) and Security certifications etc
