Job Description

My client is recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer (Level 1) for an in-house support & installation engineer for a busy IT Support & Help desk. This role is on a permanent basis.

Overview

My client is recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer (Level 1) for an in-house support & installation engineer for a busy IT Support & Help desk. The role will be office based with a future requirement to complete some limited field based support and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Configuration, build & installation of high-end workstations, laptops & server infrastructure
  • IT support, covering hardware and software for laptops, desktops and Office 365 deployments
  • Project Support – Assist with technical projects and other delegated tasks as required
  • Planned Preventative maintenance – Monitor and maintain business systems, Verify Daily Processes & ensure success of system backups
  • Configuration of network security solutions including firewalls & anti-virus deployments
  • Utilise call logging software to record and resolve user incidents within specified SLA’s
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem solving skills

Working knowledge of and experience in:

  • Desktop OS (Windows 7 to 10),
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Web Services: Dropbox, Office 365, Azure etc.
  • Experience with PC/Workstation installation, including networking
  • Working knowledge of MS Office & some Autodesk applications (desirable)

The basic requirements to be successful in this role are:

  • 1 to 2 years commercial experience in a similar technical support role.
  • Fluent in English
  • Good inter-personal and communications skills
