Technical Product Owner – Data and Analytics

Job Outline

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Product Owner to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. The Product Owner will be responsible for leading the development of digital products and ensuring that they meet both business and customer needs. This role will have a strong focus on data and analytics, and the ideal candidate will have a passion for using data to inform product decisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business, to understand customer and business requirements and translate them into product specifications
• Define and prioritize product roadmap, ensuring that product development aligns with overall business strategy
• Analyse data to understand customer behavior and use insights to inform product development decisions
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
• Manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is prioritised and aligned with the product vision and strategy
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and issues to ensure that expectations are managed effectively
• Ensure that products are launched on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Business Administration, or Marketing
• At least 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital products and data
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform product decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Experience with Agile product development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban

Educational Requirements

• Third level degree from a recognised institute
• Product owner certifications beneficial
