Technical Lead

My Dublin-based client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead to head up a brand-new project with a successful tech company. You will be playing a key role in overseeing this long-term project that will deliver innovative software solutions to a high-profile client.

All employees in the company are currently working remotely and will offer a flexible / hybrid working model, post-Covid, when it is safe to do so.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the project from start to finish, and assuring it is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
• Establish client requirements, delegate tasks, identify potential issues, report updates, and propose recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating with technical and non-technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise that will shape the direction of the project.
• Hands on coding will also be required.

Experience Required

• 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Lead / Principal Software Engineer
• Extensive background in software development and architecture
• Strong experience developing web applications
• Proven track record of effectively managing and delivering software projects on time

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong programming skills (ideally Python and JavaScript)
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage projects throughout the entire software development life cycle

Educational Requirements

• Third level degree in Computer Science or another related field (or equivalent experience)
