Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting a Tax Manager position. They are a US Multinational tech organisation. This is a Permanent role with hybrid working.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for integration of tax provision and statutory compliance processes
  • Timely completion of tax provisions and ensuring the provisions are adequate.
  • Working with the Finance function and external consultants for the timely completion and filing of tax returns
  • Responsible for tax accounting under US GAAP including tax provision and tax reserves.
  • Management of tax audits and development of strategies in closing the audits that is in the best interests of the Company.
  • Business partner with business units and other functions to deliver solutions that are tax efficient and at the same time meet their business objectives.
  • Work with the wider Tax team to develop and implement tax planning projects for the Region.
  • Work closely with the Global Transfer Pricing team on the intercompany Transfer Pricing charges
  • R&D Tax credit: Support the Irish refundable R&D tax credit calculation with the assistance of outside tax advisors.
  • Providing support to manage relationship with internal business partners and external parties such as outside counsel and government agencies.

Experience Required

  • Tax experience in public accounting and industry
  • Strong knowledge of the tax law and practice, and the latest tax developments in Ireland.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting skills and Knowledge of US GAAP will be an advantage.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Ability to learn fast and work independently.
  • Ability to identify the potential tax risk/opportunity areas, map out different options, evaluate the pros and cons of each option and make the risk assessment in making the final recommendation.

Educational Requirements

  • Holding tertiary qualification, professional qualification preferred
