Our multinational Fintech client is looking for a talented and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator. This is an excellent client, and they have a very flexible remote working policy, and they have an excellent benefits package and salary on offer.

Must have:

• Someone with a MS SQL Server SQL 2017 + background (SQL Server internals (SQLOS, Data Storage, access methods, query processing architecture, thread scheduling)
• A background in High availability & DR
• Someone who is an expert in performance tuning, optimization, DMVs, SQL Profiler and Extended Events
• Must have solid Transact SQL skills
• Some automation scripting skills
• Cloud knowledge either AWS  or Azure fundamentals
• Help with the documenting database architecture, processes, and procedures!
• Someone who can maintain database patching
• Be able to conduct database investigations into root cause analysis
• Help when deploying database code into environments

Preferred: 

• Someone with experience of 24/7, highly available, production environments
• FS sector nice to have for compliance purposes

Technical / professional qualifications:

• Someone with a minimum 4 + years’ SQL Server DBA experience

Education:

3^rd level degree in a related field from a recognised institution
