Solution Designer/Architect

Key Responsibilities

Work very closely with globally located stakeholders and Product owners in the solution design and requirements capture of all RPT projects.
Envision, advise and create the design of solutions (from both a business and technical point of view) which match the needs of the specified requirements / idea.
Identify technologies, architectures and/or products which can meet the needs of the solution.
Create sample / mock customer journeys to flesh out the end-to-end deliverables.
Translate solution designs into incremental, yet actionable, artefacts (user stores, documents etc.) which can then be used by technical teams to delivery the solution.
Ensure solution scopes are closely controlled and managed to ensure delivery can be attained incrementally and under tight timeframes and/or budget constraints.
Closely support (inc. hands work) the technical design, planning and development cycles of each of the innovation initiatives.
Act as a coordinator / point of contact between the RPT team and other stakeholders.
During solution development & testing, triage, analyse, and prioritise the solution artefact backlog and any open defects.
Regularly validate the end to end solution through frequent testing (on behalf of the end user) and through frequent demos to all stakeholders.
Supports AP business teams in the launch, test and review of any Beta or early market releases.

Experience & Key Skills Required

At least 10 years overall industry experience in a technical role.
At least 3-4 years of experience working in a technical solution delivery role (e.g. as a Solution Architect, Product Owner, etc.) with proven end-to-end design experience.
Exceptional communication skills and proven capability to align, influence and leverage globally distributed stakeholders and delivery teams.
A good blend of both business and IT solution design experience with good exposure to delivering end to end solutions which use a wide range of technologies.
Excellent project management skills. Hands on experience of delivering complex IT projects in an incremental way, within tight cost and/or small timeframes (weeks).
Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage their delivery in a structured way.
Experience of designing IT solutions which work across multiple delivery channels (e.g. Web, Mobile,) and Architectures.
Exposure to developing solutions using NLP, ML and BlockChain technologies (highly desired)
Experience of working on projects which deliver using DevOp processes and tools and which leverage Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.
Excellent SDLC experience (esp. in Agile & Iterative methodologies.)
Capable of working in a fast paced, multi-location, multi-culture environment.

Qualifications
Bachelor or Master`s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or Business.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English).
