Lead Solution Architect

Responsibilities:

• Prepare high level IT architecture design proposals in response to business requests and strategy to ensure policies and strategy are aligned
• Work with the relevant development and support groups, prepare high level estimates to support the business case for the project and represent the proposed architecture in technical governance reviews
• Provide technical expertise to assist support and development teams to resolve critical technology outages impacting normal business functions
• Use direct knowledge of an IT system or broader technical knowledge to identify the root cause of a problem and propose remediation
• Identify and recommend medium to long term enhancements to strengthen systems to guard against future issues
• Perform IT due diligence where plans to use third party applications or IT services as directed by the Global CIO or Delivery Team Leaders:
• Complete any required documentation as part of the review such as the Cloud Evaluation Framework
• Review contracts to ensure the appropriate security and service availability clauses are in place
• Assist the business in completing all on-boarding tasks as required
• Provide technical expertise to identify remediation plans for application security vulnerabilities identified from the security assurance processes
• Interpret and answer technical questions asked as part of client risk assessments for on-going audits or new business sales pitches
• Conduct proofs of concept or evaluations on new software or infrastructure components and application architectures in order to recommend whether they should be adopted
• Collaborate and communicate with colleagues in other Operating Companies, to share, learn and reuse techniques, patterns, application components and third party relationships to ensure consistency and remove duplication of effort across the IT organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Science-related field
• Minimum experience of 7+ years in full lifecycle application development
• MEAN Stack (Mongo,Express,Angular,Node), Microservices, C#/.NET
• Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to achieving business outcomes
• Ability to interact and exert influence with all business and IT areas and leadership levels
• Ability to abstract detailed technical information and concepts into higher level summaries for senior management
