Job Description

My Dublin city centre based client are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis offering a competitive package

Job Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the management of multiple software development teams and projects in terms of quality, cost and efficiency and overall value to the organization and teams
  • Involved in the process of product release, management and planning
  • Working close with various departments across the business such as; Hardware/Firmware Development, Product Managers, Marketing, Technical Documentation and Senior Management
  • Working closely with the overall Tech leadership team to ensure the implementation of new standards
  • Working alongside the scrum masters and products owners
  • Must be capable of managing a team, developing their skills and helping progression
  • Capable of interviewing and recruiting top talent for the team

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of relevant Software Development experience
  • 2-5+ years of relevant Software Development Management experience
  • Experienced in leading teams to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the group, from junior developers to Management
  • Ability to listen, influence and lead teams according to the circumstances at a given time across the business
  • Must have an excellent ability to build long lasting relationships across different divisions
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and developing technical individuals throughout their career
  • Flexible and adaptable to change when this is necessary and required by the business
  • Extensive knowledge of SDLC methodologies and lean product development
  • Experience working within an Agile environment using the Scrum Framework
  • Extensive working with Agile engineering practices like Test Automation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevOps,

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or IT/Software Development/Engineering or a related field
