Job Description

Our client is looking for a Software Development Manager to join their team. Exciting opportunity with a growing company that operate in an extremely busy and vibrant sector

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all the activities of the software development group
  • Set attainable goals to team members in order to drive projects forward to completion
  • Provide guidance to team members to encourage a strong work ethic and productivity
  • Manage multiple projects at once
  • Represent the software team in meetings
  • Participate in design control activities
  • Analyse software requirements
  • Writes, reviews and revises product requirements and specifications
  • Provide technical support to other company personnel
  • Occasional hands-on development is required, to create proof-of-concepts and support team goals
  • Thrive in a developing organisation and contribute towards the main ideas and new experiments
  • Have experience of developing a team and the people in it

Experience Required

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, or related discipline
  • 8 + years experience in a software development environment
  • Must be familiar with a variety of programming languages, codes and processes
  • 3 or more years proven experience in working as a software development manager

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Experience delivering software solutions to customers
  • Must be up to date with the latest development software practices, technology, security issues

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
