Job Description
My Dublin-based client is actively recruiting for an ambitious Software Automation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid level automation tester to join a fantastic company.
Job Responsibilities
- Support through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, through your interactions across the organisation with Product Owners, Software Engineering teams, SRE team and other stakeholders as necessary
- Maintain the standards for quality delivery, metrics definition and KPIs and ensuring standards are maintained for functional and non-functional QA
- Support estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating Quality Assurance activities within Software Development teams
- Implement the most effective tools and delivery processes to ensure high-quality standards are maintained effectively
- Maintain and execute test cases
- Creating and executing tests to validate issues and fixes
- Reporting bugs and tracking issues to resolution using reporting technology =
- Making sure issues are documented in a manner that ensures that all stakeholders are in a position to reproduce issues
- Communicating any test results and findings
- Support regulatory/audit/security QA internally and externally as required
- Support sufficient test coverage across customer facing channels and internal web tools
- Implement appropriate best practices to support rapid and efficient capacity scaling and increase the quality & velocity of deployments
- Manage the incident handling process in a proactive manner to ensure rapid resolution of issues
- Work closely with the team to create roadmaps for improving quality levels, estimate work packages and set priorities for your team aligned with company strategy
- Contribute to a rewarding working environment that aligns with the company culture
- Ensure that stakeholders are kept up to date on all activities that may affect their individual goals
- Support estimation of quality effort/activity for new projects and features, and dependencies/impacts, working closely with technical and business teams
Experience Required
- 2+ years experience with automation testing
- Previous experience working in a team of QA Engineers
- A strong knowledge base of QA methodologies
- An individual with a strong bias towards efficiency through automation, continually improving QA approach, scaling processes and implementing effective monitoring as required
- Experience with one or more of the following: such as Selenium, .Net Core, Visual Studio or Git.
Essential and Desirable Skills
- ISTQB certifications are a bonus
- Cloud experience is desirable
- Good, strong people skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- The ability to deliver on any objectives assigned to you with a strong sense of urgency and confidence
- The ability to handle customer/stakeholder escalations & multiple competing priorities
- Communicate clearly and with purpose, working effectively with team members and stakeholders across the organisation
- Taking ownership of your work and take responsibility for delivering key project outcomes
Educational Requirements
