ServiceNow Developer

Job Responsibilities

• Engage in all technical aspects of building no-code/low-code products and solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Work with various teams on a ServiceNow-centric roadmap for no-code/low-code solutions.
• Employ an agile methodology appropriate to ServiceNow formation and tools to enhance project efficiency and quality.
• Participate in sprint planning and review meetings and ensure the technical team follows recommended ServiceNow methodologies.
• Support of code reviews
• Provide input into coding best practices
• Work closely with enterprise architects and business analysts to define user requirements.
• Participate with ServiceNow upgrades across multiple ServiceNow modules.

Experience Required

• ServiceNow Development: In-depth understanding of ServiceNow platform and its core functionalities, including ServiceNow Scripting, Workflows, Forms, Reporting, and Integration.
• ServiceNow Scripting: Proficiency in ServiceNow Scripting languages, including JavaScript, Jelly, and Glide.
• HTML/CSS: Understanding of HTML and CSS, which are used for designing and styling ServiceNow forms and pages.
• SQL: Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), which is used for database queries and management in ServiceNow.
• Web Services: Experience with web services and integration technologies, including SOAP and RESTful APIs.
• Java: Understanding of Java, which is used for developing ServiceNow plugins and custom applications.
• PowerShell: Familiarity with PowerShell, which is used for scripting in ServiceNow.
• Python: Knowledge of Python, which is used for scripting and automation tasks in ServiceNow.
• JSON: Understanding of JSON, which is used for data exchange between ServiceNow and external systems.
• AngularJS: Familiarity with AngularJS, which is used for creating dynamic user interfaces and custom widgets in ServiceNow.
• TypeScript: Experience with TypeScript, which is used for building scalable and maintainable ServiceNow applications.
• IT Service Management: Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including ITIL, and the ability to create ServiceNow workflows that support ITSM processes, such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
• Incident Response: Knowledge of Incident Response processes and frameworks, including ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR), and the ability to develop and implement Incident Response workflows.
• Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Technical Writing: Ability to document ServiceNow development work, including writing technical specifications, user manuals, and operational procedures.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions using ServiceNow platform and other technologies.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, clients, and other team members.
