Senior QA Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Engagement with key stakeholders to understand the detail and test implications of planned IT change
• Work with existing test specialists to plan and manage test work across multiple delivery teams and using an agile delivery methodology
• Test Planning, monitoring and reporting for multiple concurrent change projects
• Work with scrum masters to ensure gathering and reporting of appropriate metrics
• Development of standard test methodology to ensure consistency of test approaches
• Champion for test automation where appropriate
• Provide test sign off for key IT change initiatives

Experience Required

• A test professional with experience of and a detailed understanding of an Agile development methodology
• Proven ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, e.g. business analysts, application developers, etc. in order to break down and understand deliverables with a view to being able to thoroughly test
• Ability to be able to influence and design test approaches
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to communicate progress, issues and also to influence decision makers on how to deal with issues
• Experience of working with a team of testers, ideally in a supervisory capacity
• Experience using either JIRA or MS DevOps to track requirement delivery
• A professional test qualification or certification, while not essential, is desirable
• Experience of test automation would also be a significant asset
