Job Description

My Financial Services client is looking for a Senior PMO Manager to join their team. This is a 6-12 month daily rate contract paying excellent daily rates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction for the Project Management Office (PMO) function, aligning it with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Portfolio Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and manage the project portfolio, optimizing resource allocation and aligning projects with strategic priorities.
  • Project Reporting: Develop and deliver comprehensive project reports, status updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks and issues, working closely with project managers to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that project teams adhere to established project management methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Drive the maintenance of project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and change requests. Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements within the PMO.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and oversee quality assurance processes to maintain and enhance project delivery standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, facilitating effective communication

Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior PMO management role
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and their practical application.
  • Project governance and portfolio management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or a related field.
