Job Description

Dublin North SAAS client requires a Senior Linux Administrator to join their expanding team on a permanent basis

Job Responsibilities

  • Make key contributions to a range of projects around monitoring, databases, networking, security and more
  • Acting as part of a high-calibre team of skilled Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, DBAs and more, you will help to build up the company’s Cloud Infrastructure in a large-scale environment
  • Put operations policies in place and procedures for production
  • Install, configure and maintain production systems and SaaS applications
  • Detect and resolve faults, carrying out root cause analysis
  • Continuously evaluate commercial and open-source tools to improve efficiency
  • Carry out performance analysis and optimisation
  • Provide IT team members and support representatives with technical support and guidance
  • Design, develop and implement server and network solutions for key stakeholders

Experience Required

  • 5+ years experience as a Linux Systems Admin
  • Experience of large scale complex technical environments is a bonus
  • Ability interpret high level design and in order to deploy critical infrastructure components

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • LAMP stack + Scripting e.g. Ruby / Python/ Bash
  • MySQL
  • Monitoring and Analytics tools e.g. Nagios / Cacti / Splunk
  • Monitoring tools e.g. Munin / Cacti

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree or equivalent
