Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

My West Dublin client is looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. This company has grown significantly in recent years which has resulted in a brand new role being created on the team. This is a perfect role for an experienced IT professional who has broad knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure, networks, security, and cloud solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT solutions for the business
• Provide technical knowledge across IT infrastructure, networks, security, and cloud solutions
• Support the roll out of new technologies and integrations
• Liaise with third party service providers
• Respond to escalations and troubleshoot issues
• Some occasional travel to different sites

Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer / System Administrator role
• Experience with Windows system administration and networking
• Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure, preferably Azure
• Previous experience working on a system migration project
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. MCSE, Azure Administrator, etc) would be a bonus

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Strong IT troubleshooting skills
• Broad knowledge across IT infrastructure, networks, security, and cloud
• Windows
• Cloud, preferably Azure
• Active Directory

Educational Requirements

• Third level qualification in an IT-related field
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g. MCSE, Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer Associate) would be a bonus
