Job Description

Dublin City Centre Financial Services client requires a Senior Digital Capability Manager for a permanent role with strong Digital Integration experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Digital Capability Manager will be responsible for the management of the Digital Integration & Capability Teams including the software design, development and production support teams. They will be accountable for the delivery of all digital integration as per agreed schedules, quality and costs.
  • The role holder will technically oversee the design and implementation of the organisations  API delivery strategy supporting the Digital Transformation Agenda and PSD2 implementation and therefore a deep knowledge and experience  of industry trends within API and Microservices Development is paramount.
  • The role holder will ensure that best practice delivery processes are deployed and that their efficiency is measured against agreed performance metrics for the digital channels.
  • They will play a pivotal role in the Senior Leadership Team and motivate the team to perform at a high level in a challenging and fast moving environment. They will build and drive a culture and commitment to excellence in the delivery of solutions.
  • The role holder will support workforce planning and shaping for the function including supporting the Integration of the Programme. They will maintain a strong network internally and externally to ensure our strategy and operating model remains fully informed as to industry developments and emerging needs.
  • Preparing high impact communications on the above for variety of audience including ExCo and local teams.

Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in fast-paced organisation and managing complex and fluid priorities.
  • Working knowledge and experience of API channels.
  • Experience of operating at mid / senior management level across all levels and functions of a retail bank.
  • Proven track record and strong working knowledge of modern software development methodologies; Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP etc.
  • Proficient at building high-performance teams.
  • Understanding of current regulatory environment and Group impact.
  • Proven ability to deliver large projects across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in the design and development of executive level presentations.
  • Significant budget management experience.
  • Significant Risk Management experience.
  • Experience of working with Senior Executives. 

Essential and Desirable Skills:

  • Strong ability to assess processes and identify/implement improvements.
  • Strong focus and appreciation of Continuous Integration, continuous delivery and automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical acumen of integration & open banking channels built up over years of experience in industry.
  • Strong ability to create, insightfully interpret and challenge MI and reports.
  • Ability to develop strong external industry network and insights.
  • Proven communication and influencing skills.
  • Organisation and conflict resolution ability.
  • Sound business acumen and stakeholder management. 

Educational Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in related field or equivalent professional training and experience
