Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
• Build, release and configuration management of production systems.
• Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
• Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
• Ensuring critical system security using best in class cloud security solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working in a Full Stack Development – Java / JS Framework (Angular or React).
• You should have 5+ years of software development experience, with strong recent experience with cloud software development
• Have a proven track record of successful AWS design & deployment of large scale, highly available distributed services. (3+ years)
• Proficient with Java, JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, CSS.
•  Knowledge on AWS and AWS instances – EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDb, SWF, RDS, OpsWork
• Experience in Database (Relational/Non Relational) and Networking.
• Knowledge on AWS and AWS instances – EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDb, SWF, RDS, OpsWork
• Data storage experience across technologies such as MySQL, Riak,  MS SQL, DynamoDB etc.
• Good communication skills to liaise with various departments and colleagues efficiently
• Good Team Worker and attitude to take responsibility for own tasks

Nice to Have

• Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web security.
• Have worked with data analytics technologies & data lake design
