Job Description

My Dublin-based client has a brand-new opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their expanding team.

My Dublin City Centre client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) to join their expanding team as a result of new funding to further develop their services. This company has gone from strength to strength, and shows no signs of stopping. Excellent career move for a DevOps professional who wants to be a part of an exciting and challenging journey.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and automate AWS cloud infrastructure that is secure and scalable
  • Collaborate with the software engineering team to define requirements
  • Build tools to aid system deployment, monitoring, and analysis
  • Troubleshoot problems and implement system & process improvements
  • Promote and implement DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years- experience as a DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles
  • Experience working in an AWS environment

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Spinnaker
  • Build tools: Gradle, Maven
  • Containerisation: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Scripting: Python, Bash
  • Cloud: AWS
  • Configuration: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Git

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Cloud certifications would be a bonus
