Job Description

Leading corporate client in South Dublin is looking for a Senior Data Architect who will lead their cross-business Data Architecture and Data Strategy. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years exp.

Responsibilities

  • Produce compelling database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
  • Inspect and establish database structural necessities through evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
  • Ensure database implementation procedures comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality.
  • Arrange accurate database design and architecture reports for management and top level teams.
  • Inspect the migration of data from multiple sources to internal systems.
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.
  • Put forward own ideas/recommendations to improve data and database systems.
  • Manage the creation of new business opportunity derived from the clients own data and infrastructure

Key Requirements

  • Experience in strategic development, implementation, and execution from a consulting and practical background (experience within a business) and across a variety of business areas and strategic situations
  • Strong problem solving with ability to scope, structure and solve complex strategic and operational issues with high levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to influence, people management and emotional intelligence skills. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to influence from junior to higher levels of management.
  • Effective commercial skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science or related subject
  • Advanced degree desirable
  • Professional qualifications and cloud industry certifications

Technical Skills:

  • Exposure to microservices is highly desirable
  • Expertise Microsoft Azure and/ or AWS is required
  • Strong working knowledge Cloud Roadmap plans,
  • Strong experience of managing teams
