My Dublin-based client has a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with the latest cloud-based technologies within a leading software company that has an excellent reputation in the Irish market.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, with hands-on experience working in an Azure environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver data-driven solutions for a variety of complex business needs
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data pipelines that translate raw data into business insights
  • Build reports and data visualisations that reflect real-time data analytics and insights
  • Create solutions to optimise and automate data processes and tasks
  • Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and keep track of industry best practices

Experience Required

  • 4+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
  • Proficient across SQL, ETL, OLTP, and OLAP tools
  • Proven track record of optimising data pipelines and automating data tasks
  • Experience using Azure data analytics platform

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • SQL and ETL tools
  • Azure platform (Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure CosmosDB)
  • Python
  • PowerBI
  • ML and AI methodologies

Educational Requirements

  • Third level qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or another related field
