Senior BI Manager

Job Summary

• This is a Leadership role requiring business intelligence expertise to deliver specific projects to realise the value inherent in our data, and leadership skills to improve our data science capability and maturity.
• You will design, develop and deliver solutions to businesses across the company, using the latest technologies in data exploration and visualisation.
• You will have an opportunity to partner with teams across Finance and Business on a range of projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Following development best practice build high quality data visualisations and data sources timely to provide insight into business performance and strategy
• Responsible for ensuring there is no ambiguity with proposed solutions business requirements and that appropriate governance and oversight is in place including review and sign off
• Engage with GPR stakeholders and customers to transform intelligence, discover issues and innovate solutions
• Lead a team of BI developers to deliver high quality data visualisation and reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to eliminate silos, drive EDW adoption and develop best practice
• Support Finance Ambition, Inclusion & Diversity, and our shared company values and purpose
• Nurture a creative team culture centred on value prioritisation and design thinking

Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics or reporting, including data transformation, data visualisation and dashboard design
• Previous experience leading and coaching a diverse team, maximising each individual`s competencies and potential
• Excellent technical skills including working with large datasets, relational databases and experience with a combination of tools such as Teradata, SQL and Tableau
• The ability to challenge the status quo and support reengineering of process and use of data for business benefit
• Strong communication, presentation and business partner skills to work effectively with wider, finance, front-line business and risk teams
• Demonstrated experience of delivery to tight and challenging targets with a proven ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines
• High energy, bias for action, drive for results, strong resilience and focus on execution excellence
• Strong interpretative and analytical skills, with the confidence to provide a professional, objective and independent viewpoint

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of and experience within the financial services sector
• Ability to manage stakeholder at all levels, highly organised with a strong attention-to-detail
• Controls or Risk Management Experience
• Results-oriented, relationship builder, and confident self-starter

Educational Requirements

• Third Level qualification, in mathematics, statistics, analytics, IT, or another discipline including a significant numerical element.
