Job Description
My Dublin based International client requires a Senior Automation Developer in Test to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious developer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software developers
- Deliver high-quality software solutions that meet quality standards and optimal total cost of ownership
- Engage in the entire SDLC and provide necessary oversight to ensure solutions are developed according to standards and controls
- Apply best practices and produce innovative solutions that are scalable and secure
- Manage and prioritize multiple streams of workload efficiently
- Maintain close relationships with technology stakeholders within the organization and across peers
- Lead, develop, and motivate the team to achieve their maximum potential
Experience Required
- At least 4 years of experience leading automation development and at least 4 years of programming experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug software
- Strong team player with excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Proactive and willing to learn new skills as required.
- Advanced scripting skills using Powershell or other scripting languages and proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Javascript, Python
- Strong SQL knowledge
- RESTful web services development experience
- At least 8 years of experience in a scripting, programming, devops, automation, or development role
- Strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Good understanding of virtualization technologies, especially VMWare
- Good understanding of Cloud computing, with knowledge of Azure services an advantage
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
