Job Description

My Financial Services client is looking for a Senior Analyst, Business Continuity Management based in Dublin City Centre


The role will support the establishment and ongoing operation of the second line of defence within the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) which includes Emergency Response, Incident Management, Business Recovery and Disaster Recovery planning.

The successful candidate will:

  • have 5-10 years experience working as a BCM Analyst in a large corporate environment
  • have developed expertise in detailed analysis techniques with the ability to translate into comprehensive documentation which can be understood by Business and I.S. alike.
  • Be highly experienced in producing high quality documentation and guiding this through revisions and sign-off.
  • Have a good understanding of systems infrastructure, platforms, databases, networks and security
  • Possess the ability to produce test plans, test strategies, and manage the execution of test efforts
  • Have experience working with recognised IT delivery processes and methodology
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Have the ability to set and work to strict project deadlines
  • Have the ability to ensure adequate recognition, measurement, management, and reporting of risks
  • Work with plan leaders and coordinators across Europe
  • Possess business acumen and operational expertise including an understanding of insurance operations.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent team building skills, both as a leader and as a team player.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in working with senior executives and regulators.
  • Have strong logic and data integration skills.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking.


  • Interact extensively with relevant project stakeholders.
  • Critically understand the stakeholders’ operations and systems.
  • Work actively with the 1st line of defence risk teams and business teams across the European operations to ensure continuity planning practices are operating and aligned to the BCM Framework and provides independent assessment of the BCM risk profile.
  • Advise the business teams in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses
  • Contribute to development of appropriate business disruption risk mitigation strategies and response plans;
  • Contribute to creation of and implementing, exercising, and maintaining the business response plans and disaster plans recovery plans
  • Contribute to development / production of Operational KPI’s for BCM processes.
