My Dublin based client is looking for a Security/Network Analyst to join the team for a permanent role.
You will be maintaining and improving IT security standards within the business. Working with multiple International regions/departments you will be fulfilling business requirements in a secure manner. Knowledge of emerging attack trends and common trends are important for this role, along with knowing how to reduce the threat.
-Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices within the cyber security community and make relevant recommendations for security enhancement and improvement
-Continuous security assessments by conducting assessments on various environments and platforms
-Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) Monitor and improve the security posture on various platforms
-Security Engineering, assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of security tools across various environments
-Application penetration testing by reviewing various applications
-Provide integration and automate tasks in a security-as-code environment
-Capable of leading incidents on a technical level and performing forensics
-Design/implementation of enterprise logging with a SIEM infrastructure
-Strong Customer service including, but not limited to: responding to voice mails and emails within organizationally defined timeframes; completing projects as committed; responding to others’ feedback appropriately; making optimal use of organizationally limited resources by offering assistance to other functional teams when appropriate.
-Data Analysis, review large log sources of specific data – configure additional alerting as required
-Bachelor of Science (or academic equivalent) in relevant field
-3+ years’ experience in IT engineering required — experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting IT systems and/or networks is preferred
-Competence in scripting and task automation – experience with languages such as Python, PowerShell and Bash is preferred
-Knowledge of common cryptography protocols and PKI environments
-Proficient understanding of security tools and techniques, including performing internal and external network vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, malware detection and incident response/investigation
-Good knowledge of IDS/IPS tools, next-generation firewalls, SIEM and anti-virus tools
-Strong understanding of cyber-attacks such as SQL injections, DDOS techniques, memory scraping, XSS, CSRF, Layer 2 attacks, phishing
-Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments
