Security Engineer (Embedded)

• In-house expert on design for security; “goto” person for hardware and firmware security issues.
• Provide creative, cost-effective, and reliable security solutions given multiple business constraints.
• Manage and navigate products through one, or more, evaluations by security labs.
• Work with development teams in multiple time zones to insure cohesive design for security.
• Use your ground-level knowledge of platform design and security expertise to negotiate in security evaluations.
• Act as the liaison to the internal Program Management members representing the security elements in product development.
• Duties may include collecting and archiving forensic evidence

Knowledge & Experience:

• Hands-on design and development of embedded microprocessor or SoC system is a must, especially at the hardware level. Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following security standards: PCI PTS POI, CAS POI PP, DK, APCA, and ABECS

• Proficient to expert in various lab instruments: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, etc.
• Experience with operating systems, SOCs, and ARM microprocessors.
• Exposure to credit and debit card processing is a plus.

Education, Skills and Ability:

• BSCpE, BSEE, BSCS, or related field.
• Strong process focus, ability to execute and follow-through.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Ability to work and be a guiding contributor across diverse cultures within a team environment
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong problem solving skills; able to work independently.
• Able to rapidly and clearly communicate issues, options, benefits, priorities, and recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Travel:
