Security Architect

Job Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be competent in being responsible for the oversight of technical project security review reports
• Remain knowledgeable of advancements in security threats and preventions
• Proven expertise with industry-practice security processes such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, OWASP, CIS, ISO 27001 or COBIT
• Experience complying with national and international regulations (GDPR, NISD etc)
• Design and enforce enterprise security and solution security architectures for an expansive organisation leveraging frameworks such as SABSA and TOGAF

• Demonstrate know-how in security vulnerability identification, application security remediation and threat modelling approaches such as cyber kill chain, STRIDE, exposure analysis etc

• Communicate effectively between various departments such as technical, business and stakeholder sides of the company and an ability to manage competing expectations

• Highly advanced security knowledge in technical IT domains – operating systems, networks, databases, mobile, cloud (IAAS, SAAS and PAAS in AWS & Azure) or solution development etc

Experience Required

• 6+ years of industry experience in leading cybersecurity roles
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity and the associated commercial risks
• Track record in supporting the delivery of a broad range of cyber security controls and projects in an enterprise environment
• Expertise in consistently preparing accurate security threat reports by having an ability to effectively gather, analyse and identify security risks
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, including project management of consultancy projects
• Strength in working with tight deadlines and under pressure

Advantageous, not necessary

• Previous experience working in daily rate contract roles
• Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment
• Security certifications in one or more of CISSP, SANA, SABA, TOGAF, CISM, ISO 27001, PCI DSS
• Cloud Security (Azure AZ900 and AWS Security is advantageous)

Educational Requirements

• An Undergraduate or master’s degree from a recognised institution
