Job Description

An excellent software firm that is growing in C19 times is looking for a Scrum Master to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is to work for one of the leading IT Software Firms in Dublin

Job Responsibilities:

  • Experience working on process improvement in a cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders
  • Be an excellent team member
  • Be driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to lead and take ownership for the work completed
  • Act as a mentor to other team members and help them improve to max potential
  • Promote and facilitate continuous improvement across scrum teams
  • Leading the team by example
  • Responsibility for resolving impediments
  • Communicate project status and release progress to stakeholders, including identifying risks, dependencies, impediments and improvements
  • Drive Scrum methodology across development teams

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of two years in an Agile/Scrum master role
  • Minimum of 7-8 years work experience and ideally someone who has come via IT work path to a scrum master

Essential and Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Software Development for at least 5 years while playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc
  • Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Kanban etc
  • Experience working with Distributed Scrum teams
  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)
  • Work experience in a Software product firm is preferable and someone who is used to working in a fast paced software firm.

Educational Requirements

  • Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related Engineering discipline
  • Second level Scrum Master certification  desirable.
