Scrum Master

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate project status and release progress to stakeholders, including identifying risks, dependencies, impediments and improvements
• Drive Scrum methodology across development teams

Experience Required:

• Minimum of two years in an Agile/Scrum master role
• Minimum of 7-8 years work experience and ideally someone who has come via IT work path to a scrum master

Essential and Desirable Skills:

• Experience in Software Development for at least 5 years while playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team
• Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc
• Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Kanban etc
• Experience working with Distributed Scrum teams
• Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc)
• Work experience in a Software product firm is preferable and someone who is used to working in a fast paced software firm.

Educational Requirements

• Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related Engineering discipline
• Second level Scrum Master certification  desirable.
