Our South Dublin based financial services client are looking for a Scrum Master to come and join their team on an initial 6-month contract basis.
Our South Dublin based financial services client are looking for a Scrum Master to come and join their team on an initial 6-month contract basis. Currently operating a hybrid model involving possibly 2 days a week on site where required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Working alongside various teams within the organisation and collaborate effectively with these teams
- Create and develop stakeholder relationships
- Facilitate and coordinate Scrum Meetings
- Implement the tools and scripts that are needed to carry out work and achieve company goals
- The alignment of the various team’s work is key in reaching a seamless process of meeting goals/ targets
- Maintain the focus and drive of the team to continuously create and improve new software products
- Responsible for workshops and training for the team in Agile/ Scrum methodologies
- Offering support to the product owner in effectively and efficiently being able to deliver the product
- Collaborating with project managers (internal and third party) to plan the project in a realistic and achievable manner
- Working alongside business analysts preparing for sprints and ensuring requirements are signed off
- Provide reports on various aspects of the project to stakeholders and senior management
- Lead the Scrum team using agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, XP and others
- Prioritise the product backlog and ensure it is delivered by the team
- SIT and UAT testing to be carried out as projects are released and ensuring they have been monitored and projects comply with company standards
- Deploying appropriate tools/ methods as well ensuring proper practices are implemented across JIRA and confluence
Essential Skills:
- Previous Scrum master experience (CSM Certified)
- 3+ years’ previous experience as Business Analyst
- Having previously worked in an agile/ scrum environment in similar sized programmes for at least 2 years
- Having an excellent working knowledge of Scrum Framework and agile methods
- Hands on experience in managing cross functional disciplines and dealing with internal and external parties
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
- Previously practiced agile and waterfall software delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of insurance would be beneficial
