Public Sector Client – Circa 50k per annum and 25 days with state pension and flexible working hours and work life balance – You can build up an extra 1.5 leave per month via flexitime system
The Network Systems Administrator will be required to have excellent problem solving, technical, operational and people skills and will be required to resolve complex issues to satisfactory outcomes to deal confidently and respectfully with the user and vendor community. A key aspect to this role is the ability own and develop the day to day running of the ICT infrastructure including regular maintenance routines, tasks and proactive monitoring,
– Strategic Objectives
o Support the ICT Manager in their management and ongoing development of the infrastructure and operations team
o Contribution to, and implementation of the overall infrastructure strategy (in conjunction with the ICT Management team)
o Contribute to the development of best practice processes and frameworks for the area and ensuring systems, services and processes are fit for purpose
o Support the ICT function in delivering on the ICT Strategy
– To be considered for this post, candidates must have:
o Achieved or be working towards a 3rd level or comparable ICT qualification/accreditation
o 5+ years’ experience in a systems administration role, with specific experience supporting and maintaining VMware and virtualisation technologies, SAN/NAS storage and fibre channel, CommVault or other backup to disk technologies. Managing and maintaining SharePoint web farms and SQL Servers.
o Experience implementing and/or supporting Azure, ADFS, infrastructure as a service cloud hosted systems, or migration of on premise ICT services to cloud / hosted environments.
o Experience configuring and using service management tools, ideally SCOM
o Strong knowledge of PowerShell and Scripting
o Good understanding of networking in a server and desktop environment, including switches (Fibre and copper), VLAN’s, TCPIP, Wireless networking, Firewall’s, VPN’s, Remote Access.
o Track record to demonstrate organizing and planning capabilities
o Excellent problem solving skills
o Ability to work intuitively
o Ability to priorities and co-ordinate work
o Project ownership and ability to work within deadlines / timelines
o Good communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
