Job Description

My Dublin based client currently requires a SAP Consultant to join their existing team in a permanent role. The successful candidate should have strong commercial SAP SD experience.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Senior SAP SD Consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with all of the company’s SAP consultants, providing a unique core advisory service to our clients and assist with implementing (global) process redesigns or Greenfield design in using the company’s add-on for SAP – a certified SAP solution.

Experience Required:

  • SAP Integration consultant with a very strong background in the SD module – 5yrs+ experience with strong consulting/client facing background
  • Excellent understanding of the integration aspects between the SD/MM and FI modules
  • Knowledgeable of pricing and customizing in SD
  • Good understanding of how businesses handle sales, warehouses/stock keeping and logistics execution (transportation, shipment etc.)
  • Basic understanding in ABAP programming and debugging.
  • Basic understanding of IDOCs, BAPI’s and BADI’s
  • Performed various implementation cycles and maintenance on SD modules.
  • Ability to travel to mainly European destinations (circa 30% – 40%) – Must have EU passport to allow visa free travel.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Degree Qualified (business/accounting desirable) or relevant business experience.
  • Understanding of customizing in FI and SD:
  • Cross border , intra EU supplies
  • Reverse-charge, acquisitions
  • Plants abroad
  • Experience working with S/4Hana
  • Basic understanding of foreign trade data master data and customizing
  • Experienced in creating technical and functional specifications, user documentation and system documentation
  • Fluency in English required.  Second European language would be an advantage.

  • Excellent soft skills with regard to customer facing, create training material and performing training
  • Used to thinking ‘out of the box’ and performs best in dynamic working environment
  • Ability to work to tight, clearly defined deadlines.
  • Thorough, can work something right through to the end, good investigating and questioning skills.
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task – able to handle competing demands or multi-tasks, make decisions and to work on own initiative without supervision

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified (business/accounting desirable) or relevant business experience.

Working Hours:

  • Standard working week.
