Job Description

Dublin City Centre Software Company requires a Ruby on Rails Developer to join its expanding team on a permanent basis

Job Responsibilities

  • Strong coding background in Ruby and the Rails ecosystem. Ability to work closely with the business to achieve results
  • Provide high-quality, well-structured, well-documented code
  • Mentoring junior developers by encouraging collaboration, participation and creative thinking
  • Experience interfacing with various back-end technologies, frameworks and services
  • Must demonstrate the ability to master new / emerging technologies, and take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions
  • Test new technologies and new projects

Experience Required

  • 5 years+ Ruby on Rails development
  • Comfortable writing tests – model, feature/integration tests
  • Working in an Agile Environment
  • Working across a number of team projects at any one time
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are critical as you will be working across functional teams within the company

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Demonstratable work examples
  • HTML & CSS
  • Javascript/Vue.JS/Node JS etc…
  • MySQL/Postgres
  • Linux/AWS/Google Cloud

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree or equivalent
