Ruby on Rails Developer

Overview

Their platform is being used by large organisations across a number of sectors and is helping deliver strong ROI for the end user.  With an increase in the number of contracts won they are seeking an experienced software developer to join their team.  Ideally the candidate will be familiar with Ruby on Rails, but my client would be interested in speaking to good Python developers too.

Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Ruby on Rails or Python Web application development / PHP also useful.
• MVC or Object Oriented Programming Experience
• Javascript a plus (Vanilla especially, JQuery, AJAX )
• API usage – REST and SOAP
• Good understanding of SQL
• proficient in HTML & CSS & Bootstrap
• Comfortable writing tests – model, feature/integration tests
• Working in an Agile Environment
• Working across a number of projects at a time in a team.
