Quality Test Lead

My excellent South Dublin based client is offering a fantastic position for a Quality Test Lead to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will be involved in multiple projects that are aimed at improving healthcare services through the implementation of cutting edge IT applications. This is a brand new role where you will be the go-person for software testing in the Dublin office, while collaborating with an international team.

Candidates must have strong experience in manual / functional testing. Some experience in automation testing would be a bonus. There is flexibility for this role to be done remotely and/or in the office. However, you must be flexible to come into the South Dublin office occasionally for team meetings when required.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and improve the quality of IT applications to produce a better customer experience
• Understand the requirements of the business to create better test scripts
• Manual testing of the software and products
• Consistently deliver comprehensive test cases based on the business requirements
• Efficiently deal with urgent test requests and produce the results in a timely manner
• Contribute to the planning and writing of test plans for software updates
• Opportunity to eventually get involved in automation testing

Experience Required

• A minimum of 3 years as a Software Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer
• Experience creating test cases and plans
• Experience planning and writing integration and end-to-end tests
• Proven ability to problem solve
• The ability to use source control and issue tracking software

Desirable Skills

• Manual / functional testing skills are essential
• Test automation experience is highly desirable
• Experience with both backend and consumer facing web applications
• Knowledge of healthcare / medical IT applications would be desirable

Educational Requirements

• A university degree in IT or related discipline – or relevant experience
