Job Responsibilities
- Leading teams in an Agile environment delivering large-scale web and mobile apps software projects.
- Excellent communication skills as you will need to communicate with multiple stakeholders
- Work closely with other Technology function managers to devise and implement the overall department strategy
- Continually develop, maintain and protect the overall QA Strategy
- We perform a mixture of manual and automated testing – you will be required to manage both
- Manage and assess risk for projects and releases plus contingency plans
- On-going process improvement, test tools research and implementation
- Testing of high priority changes or production issues
- Be part of a pool of Incident Response Managers for critical production issues
- Work within an Agile environment, using JIRA and Confluence
- Create, maintain and expand reusable testing documentation in Confluence
- Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple Agile teams
- Offer support and mentoring on best practice to the QA team and provide ongoing training
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and distributing information
Experience Required
- 5+ years of QA Management experience in a software engineering environment
- 5+ years of hands on software QA experience
- 3+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Excellent understanding of traditional and Agile SDLC’s
- Experience of Jira, Confluence and TestRail for managing the Agile process and test management or similar tools
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver with Java or other Test Automation frameworks
- Experience of delivering and operating software in a B-C model of both web and mobile apps
- Experience in developing and implementing a Test Automation strategy
- Proof of managing several teams and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Python, HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL and AWS
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery experience
- BDD experience
Educational Requirement
- Computer Science Degree
- ISTQB Advanced or other software testing certifications
