My top Dublin client is looking for a QA Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
-Leadership of QA Team, including recruitment, management, development, motivation, coaching and retention of the Test team, including forecasting for future requirements.
-Develop robust testing estimates to support planning activities
-Plan, schedule and manage the workload of direct reports.
-Definition/update of the Test Strategy and Test Plans
-Working with and managing the Test team in the maintenance and updating of all testing-related documentation including, but not limited to,:
-test strategy, test plans, test estimates
-bug reporting and tracking
-Ensuring that Test Plan execution and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized and coordinated across all projects
-Review, understand and interpret User Requirements, Functional Specification documents and non-functional requirements, and provide input as necessary
-Representing Test at formal progress reporting through weekly Program Meetings and other formalised meetings with Software Development, Customer Support, Project Mgmt., Business Analysis and IT Executive mgmt.
-Actively managing the Test tools & processes incl. vendor mgmt. & budgeting.
-Ensuring timely automation of tests for regression testing.
-Manage the UAT/BAT (User/Business Acceptance Testing) process
-10+ years experience in Test Engineering / Software QA working in or with distributed or offshore teams to include:
-Creation of Test Strategy
-Execution of testing
-Review and documentation of test results
-5+ years previous experience of managing and coaching a Test Engineering/QA team.
-Excellent understanding of quality assurance processes, standards, methodologies, and tools with a hands-on approach
-A proven track record delivering high quality products within a variety of deployment environments and tools/technology
-Proven experience in designing, building, and managing a Test Automation framework.
-Experience of liaising with, and coordinating efforts of others with whom you have no direct reporting relationship
-Proven track record of developing, championing and implementing new test strategies and processes
-Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects
-Third Level Computer Science/Engineering Degree or relevant professional qualification or experience
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
-Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
-Strong verbal and written English-language skills.
