QA Test Lead

Job Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will join the team as a Test Lead and assess the current test strategy and roll out an optimised Test Plan.
• Lead a team of testers across multiple technologies and platforms concurrently.
• Continuously develop and drive ongoing enhancement of the QA process.
• Practically lead and guide team members to ensure best test practice is implemented across the board.
• Liaise with the key stakeholders both internal and external to ensure an effective collaboration between the team and the stakeholders.
• Have regular collaboration with the Test Environment Manager to utilise the test environments in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Consistently monitor and provide status updates on the Testing progress and situations.
• Have excellent leadership abilities in ensuring the team stays motivated and productive
• Assess efficiency leaks within the test strategy and aim to continuously further streamline the test process.
• Operate in an Agile software testing methodology.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years’ experience in a Test Lead role.
• A 3^rd Level Degree from a recognised institute.
• Proven expertise in devising test strategies for systems.
• Knowledge and experience in testing web-based applications.
• Previous experience managing a team of manual and automation test engineers.
• Experience implementing and effectively utilising automation testing to decrease the need for and reliance on manual testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication.
• Previous experience in the financial services industry is a bonus.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies fantastic: Jira, Confluence, Oracle/ MS SQL, Selenium, Test Rails
