QA Test Engineer – 6 months – Cork based

Responsibilities for a QA Test Consultant

• Have a minimum of 5 years experience QA Test Consultancy experience working on large corporate systems.
• Ownership and execution of functional test areas, to also include regression and integration testing.
• Analysis of Business & Functional requirements, to provide high quality documentation such as Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts
• Lead/participate in defect triage discussions and challenge development perception of severity
• Ensure regression testing is performed in a manner that recognizes the risks of introducing defects into the environment
• Contribute to management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.
• Experience working with Internal Organisations and 3rd Party Application Vendors and System Integrators is essential.
• Experience of Functional, Non Functional, Regression, Integration, Load, Stress, End to End (E2E), User Acceptance and Defect Reporting.
• Working knowledge of recognised SDLC and Test methodologies, e.g. V-model, Waterfall, Agile, Risk Based Testing Techniques.
• Working knowledge of test management tools, tracking tools and other testing tools (HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience an advantage).
• Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to ensure resolution
• ISTQB Foundation qualification an advantage.
