QA Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the Test Strategy required to satisfy the needs of the project.
• Design and develop standardized test bench concepts sufficient to test customer requirements.
• Automate test equipment and implement continuous improvements to increase robustness and level of automation of the test system.
• Communicate to Tools Development Team on test bench requirements, customer milestones and delivery requirements.
• Assist where needed with Tools Dev Team on selection equipment suppliers/developers in the development of test solutions.
• Work closely with internal/external contractors, Engineers and Technicians to ensure delivery of robust system test solutions.
• Participate in Customer workshops when required.

Requirements:

• At least 3+ years’ experience in QA with the majority in test automation
• In-depth QA experience using Microsoft Test Manager in particular, automation
• In-depth experience with common automation tools including as many of the following as possible, Specflow, Selenium, Fitnesse, SoapUI, CodedUI
• Knowledge of OO languages, e.g., C#, VB.Net, etc.
• Good knowledge of Test Methodologies such as BDD
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL Server
• Good knowledge of Architectural Designs and Concepts
• Strong Communications Skills, with the ability to document test analysis, bug reports and test scripts
